This is Westminster House Society’s way of giving back to the community that has nurtured our recovery programs, and the women who graduate from them for over 40 years. We live, recover, work, and play in New Westminster and are proud of our community. For us it’s not just about cleaning up the city , it’s also about gathering as a community to connect and have fun. Just as we get clean at Westminster House, we will turn
our attention to the environment we live in and adopt a public space to clean up. We want the community we live in to know about us and feel proud that thousands of women have been given a chance to become
active and responsible members of the community. On Saturday June 3, 2023 Westminster House will host its signature annual Clean-Up New West event. Westminster House’s current residents, staff, board members and alumnae, together with their families, friends, and the larger community, will be turning up to show their gratitude. Their sleeves will be rolled-up and ready for swift clean-up action! Our event will feature a clean-up march, complimentary meal voucher, prizes, pie-eating contest, and community connection.

This is a free event. The timeline will be as follows:

10:30 am Weigh-in of the garbage collected starts
