The team at Westminster House Recovery Centre for Women chose the acorn as its symbol because it has to hit the ground hard in order to open, grow and reveal the strong oak tree within.
What you will read are the real stories of women, written in their own words: women who choose recovery every day. They are the voices of women who know where they have come from and they have set their sights on the future. Although there is a common thread to the verses, each is unique, complex and true.
