Alumni Spotlight – Meghan B

by | Aug 18, 2017

October 2, 2016, – I stood on the steps of Westminster House and said goodbye to my family. I had no idea that my decision to seek help would drastically change the course of my life for the better. I’d been in and out of treatment, tried it on my own, changed jobs, changed friends, had a baby, moved all over the place, nothing worked. I found myself completely desperate, alone, and unable to care for myself or my son.

Westminster House has taught me how to respect myself, cope with life, make friends, gain self-esteem, and of course, live without the desire to use drugs.

Today I am almost 11 months clean, I have wonderful women in my life, I have my son full time, I’m back in school, my dreams all seem attainable and I couldn’t be more grateful to have been given the opportunity to go through Westminster House and be where I am today!
