Westminster House Alumni are a group of courageous women who have overcome the disease of addiction and continue to thrive after completing their treatment stay at Westminster House.

Our stories are that We Do Recover and we share our experience, strength, and hope to those who also want recovery.

Our fundraisers will provide opportunity for our alumni to go to a recovery retreat at the Rainbow Lodge. Recovery retreats provide a nurturing and healing environment. Not only is it relaxing it also provides important sessions for continued recovery such as cognitive behavior therapy, relapse prevention, connection with fellow women, and fun in recovery activities.

We will be sending 10 women to the retreat on July 18, 2018.  These women have shown they want a better life through recovery and wish to continue being part of the solution.

Your gifts will make this all possible, and invest in our Alumni. We appreciate and are grateful for any contributions.

Supporting Westminster House Alumni to go on recovery retreats is part of the OnGoing Recovery Program and Relapse Prevention.

The On-Going Recovery Program is an open ended extension of the Westminster House residential Primary Care Program and it is necessary to provide a full continuum of care to clients seeking an exit to the cycle of addiction.   The On-Going Recovery Program is focused on improving long term sustainable recovery.  This will improve social outcomes for women, who have been chronic substance abusers, having a positive impact on their families and their communities, reaching the criminal justice system, health care system and social services.

This program focuses on accountability, building relationships, mending families, continuing healthy lifestyle measures, and reinforcing the self- management tools learned during Primary and Second Stage programming. This will improve the quality of life of the clients and therefore, directly benefits the clients, their families that have been fractured by addiction and ensure a safe process back to work and community.
