ADMISSION CRITERIA
Westminster House welcomes women who satisfy the following requirements:
- You are 19 years of age or older
- You have been medically detoxed - if necessary
- You currently have a negative relationship with drugs and/or alcohol
- Your outside counsellor is willing to work with our program structure while you are in our care
- Chemical addiction including alcohol misuse is your primary diagnosis
- You have funding in place
- You are prepared to become a non-smoker for the duration of your stay
- You have no pending criminal charges
If you satisfy the above noted requirements, you need to call Westminster House offices and request to be added to our wait list. If there are special circumstances surrounding one of our criteria, please call and discuss it with our trained intake counsellors. We are willing to work with you to help you succeed in your desire for recovery.
Once on the wait list, you need to:
- Call everyday to check-in
- Take a TB test prior to arrival
- Have a referral package filled out by a counsellor, physician or social worker. To start the referral process, please print them out, fill out the forms, sign them, and fax them to our Intake staff at 604-524-4634
- All referral sources are considered
